Network Options |

| WebtrialZ network options are completely customizable based on the
characteristics and needs of the study and the customer. Geographical
location of the investigators and study personnel, cost profile and
performance requirements are assessed to determine the best network
connectivity options. Available options include internet-based electronic
data capture and application access, Virtual Private Network (VPN), RSA SecureID secure token
technology, and private network connection. Dial-up VPN and secured
direct internet access options are also available for small site or
at-home access.
Access to clinical data management applications via traditional PC client-server interfaces (a.k.a. “fat” clients) is addressed exclusively via Citrix® remote access portal technology. This technology allows the traditional client access in a way that appears to be local to the PC executing the code, while providing the performance close to that of true local access – even over slow dial-up lines. Additionally, WebtrialZ services include customized portal applications to allow for secure easy-to-use data transfer between authorized users and the WebtrialZ servers - enabling easy, transparent transfer of data for analysis and reporting. WebtrialZ systems are proactively monitored using
proven system and network management tools. Our technical staff
are alerted within seconds of an event, many times allowing our staff to address the
issue before customers are even aware any problem exists.
